Sao Miguel Island has many scenic lookouts that are great to stop at as you travel around the island. Many have beautiful gardens to enjoy along with the view. Most have barbecues (wood fired) for cooking at and plenty of seating.
This one, on the north coast, had two names and I was kind of confused about that.
One was called "Miradouro do Salto da Farinha, Queda de Agua". Which I now realize is for the lookout overlooking a nice waterfall.
The other lookout was called "Miradouro da Pedra dos Estorninhos" and part of it is pictured in the foreground.
