Azores stays in your heart forever

I left the Azores when I was 3yrs old and returned when I was 47 but I felt like I returned home. I stayed in Vila Franca do Campo in a beautiful house that I rented all to myself. Sao Miguel is just so Magical and there isn't just one particular place that I can favour over another. The whole Island is beautiful and has something for everyone.

I know exactly what you are saying. I was also born there and came to the U.S. at a young age. But I have always felt a part of me is always there. I always dig my hands in the dirt when I visit and I reconnect with every fiber of being.
We are Azorean and no matter how far away it is, it is who we are.
How beautiful is that!!
